With the development of science and technology in the field of civil aviation, the existing equipment and systems of small and medium-sized airports are gradually unable to meet the requirements for the change of the airport surface management process and the interconnection of standard data between the control units. Therefore, a new efficient and cost-effective solution is urgently needed to improve the tower control technology and capabilities, and the Tower Control Automation System emerges as the time requires.
The system accesses surveillance data such as MLAT and ADS-B for multi-source data fusion processing to meet the needs of airport surface surveillance without A-SMGCS. Based on video recognition processing technology, the system can enhance the reliability of surface target monitoring and assist tower controllers to control surface targets under complex weather conditions. E-strip is used to instead traditional paper flight strip, deeply integrate flight plans and status with control instructions to ensure operational safety and make risk warning more accurate. Introduce the concept of integrated tower, the system accesses various subsystem information through a unified position display, reduce the workload of the controller and improve the efficiency of control.
